Thanks to Basic Invite for sponsoring Rookie Moms this month.

I love pouring over all the designs, color choices, and fonts of well-designed paper goods, and I’m excited about introducing you guys to a new source for baby announcements, first birthday invitations, shower invites, and pretty much any occasion for which you might send a card.

First, let’s talk about colors. Basic Invite allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail.

Upload your photo, edit the name, date, address, phrasing, and more.

Look at the chic baby shower invitations and pick one to play with. I thought having so much control could be a disaster, as selecting color combinations that really work is a magic best left to designers, but Basic Invite has identified components of each card, and made it foolproof. Brighten some leaves from sage to emerald, and change the headline of the card from cream to white and you can feel like a pro yourself!

Or, if you like this one, but you are doing a black and white theme, change all the tones of peach to shades of grey.

While invites for your own shower may be out of your control, thank you cards for baby showers are another opportunity to utilize the personalization tools on this website. I changed the colors and the messaging from the default on this card, just to show you.

I was able to change the background color, the fox color, and the font style, position, and placement.

Need proof? Get a single copy of your design mailed to you in advance of printing the rest. You can see exactly how it will print, as well as the paper quality, before placing your final order.

Next step: Add personality with a colored envelope. There are more than 40 different colors available to go with these elegant birth announcements or 1st birthday invitations, so your special mailing will stand out in the mailbox before it is even opened. Basic Invite sells peel and seal envelopes, so no licking and sticking for you, foxy friend.

But, I don’t have everyone’s addresses and collecting them is a huge pain!  I feel you, girl. That’s why I really love this feature: Free address collection service at Basic Invite

Here’s how it works: You enter your name (who’s asking for their address), choose a cute graphic, and Basic Invite sets up a special link for you to share. You send it out electronically, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing. Here’s the page that I generated for me and Heather to collect addresses.

If you don’t need Basic Invite right now, but want to remember this resource for , follow them on Instagram at @basicinvite.

This post was made possible by a sponsorship from Basic Invite who I am already following on Instagram!
