Best Learning Toys for 2 Year Olds
Leapfrog Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart
This adorable ice cream cart is so much fun and your sweet little girl will spend hours playing with this ice cream playset. Our girls loved serving up ice cream and delivering us our favorite treat. With the Leapfrog scoop and learn, the magic scooper scoops up the ice cream and toppings to create tasty-looking combinations while introducing your child to colors and flavors.
The toy will help them practice counting to ten, teach them about flavors, and also have fun music they’ll enjoy.
ABC Sound Book
This educational toy makes learning fun for two-year-olds! With over 100 songs and sounds, this electronic book will nurture an early love for reading. The ABC Sound book can be used to learn letters, word identification, and spelling, all in one easy-to-use, colorful learning toy.
What’s more, this sound book even includes the names of animals, shapes, foods, and vehicles to expand your little one’s knowledge of the world around them. Many children begin to read by ages three and four, so why not help your two-year-old get a head start with the ABC Sound book?
Aqua Drawing Mat
There are a lot of water mats, but this is our favorite out there. With Stencils to make fun shapes and letters, this aqua mat is not only fun but great for child development.
The mat is 36″ x 36″ so it is a good size but also not so big that it takes over most of the room. There are absolutely no chemicals, just water needed to draw. It is definitely one of my favorite toys for 2-year-old girls.
Lovevery Play Kits
Lovevery Play Kits are so awesome! All of the toys in these kits have been designed by experts to aid in your toddler’s development.
We’ve been getting the kits for over a year now and my 2-year-old loves them. It’s helped us cut out the junk because he gets new toys that meet him at the development stage he’s in. I recommend signing up for a one-year subscription so your little one will always have new toys to play with! There’s no obligation, if it doesn’t work out, you may cancel at any time.
VTech Care for Me Learning Carrier
Pretend play is great for your kid’s imagination and fosters creativity as well. VTech Care for Me Carrier comes with a plush dog and all the items needed to take good care of it. It comes with an interactive carrier that lets the kiddos take it with them anywhere! There are light-up buttons that introduce colors, shapes, numbers, and more. Pet care accessories include a bowl, ball, comb, and bottle to encourage role play. The carrier features a handle for on-the-go fun!
Fisher-Price Linkimals Smooth Moves Sloth
The Fisher-Price Linkimals Smooth Moves Sloth is the perfect interactive, educational toy to keep your child’s attention. It claps its hands and bobs its head to the music, lights, and songs. Press the buttons on its feet for songs and phrases about the alphabet, numbers, opposites, and colors.
Amazon Prime Box Book Box for Kids
This is a great gift idea from Amazon for parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles to give to the little ones in their life. Amazon Prime Book Box for Kids is a subscription service that chooses up to 3 books for you to read to your little one.
They are all organized based on your child’s age and you can choose how often you want the box distributed, once a month, 2 months, or even 3 months. If there is a book you don’t like or already have, you can choose to have another book shipped instead. Yes, this might not be a toy, but it is a great gift for kids.

A play kitchen is one toy that children utilize repeatedly and over and over again. Our little one loves serving us pretend pizza, apples, and even coffee. This is a toy that toddlers adore and will enjoy for several years without fail. This KidKraft model is undoubtedly one of the better ones available and is so lovely (I mean, look at the backsplash in the kitchen!)

Best Bathtime Gifts for 2 Year Old Girls
Nightly baths are a part of raising a two year old, so I am always on the lookout for a fun bath time routine. Here are some of the more fun bathtime toys we love for our little girls.
Octopus Interactive Bath Toy – Best Bath Time Toy for 2-year-old Girls!
Think Ring toss in a bath and you’ve got the Nuby Floating Purple Octopus Interactive Bath Toy. This might be the best toy we have tried in 2023 as it makes bath time so much more fun with your sweet 2 year old.
The octopus is BPA-free for those kiddos who love to put everything in their mouth. My favorite part is the toy is under $10, so it is super fun and super affordable.
Frozen Bath Set
Frozen will be one of those movies that will last a generation, and this simple bath set is a great addition to make bathtime fun. This set includes: Includes bucket with a straining lid and: Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff.
Our little girls love playing with the characters and the bucket throughout their nightly bath routine.
Most Unique Toys for 2 Year Old Girls
Kids Bumper Cars (Yes, Bumper Cars)
As a mom of 5, I can’t believe I am saying this but I actually recommend this toy, in fact, it is one of the most used toys in the household. First off, I was very skeptical of such a device roaming through my house let alone putting my child in it.
There are honestly endless laughs with these bumper cars. They have a rubber outside, so they don’t scuff up any walls, and a seatbelt so that your child is safely inside the vehicle. There is even a remote control, so if your child can’t grasp the controls, which they will do in no time, you can be the driver and just wheel them around.
Starry Light Projector
Well, it’s been a fun day of play, but now it’s time for bed. Your child will have sweet dreams with this Starry Night Light projector. This circular light projector features two different theme projections: ocean life and starry night. Ocean life features jellyfish, whales, seaweed, and bubbles while starry night has small and large stars with a crescent moon.
The projector has four colors which can be set to alternate or set to one specific color. This night light creates a relaxing atmosphere to help your toddler calm down and get ready for a good night’s sleep.
Hape Wooden Color and Shape Sorter Toy and Montessori Puzzle Board
Want to help your child improve their fine motor skills while learning shapes and colors? Give this Wooden Shape puzzle a try! With bright colors and smooth polished wood, these small blocks can be placed onto the puzzle board or stacked like blocks for multidimensional play.
This toy can easily be stashed in your diaper bag to take on the go, allowing you to help your two-year-old practice their shapes, colors, and coordination anywhere!
Baby Balance Bike
Studies show that balance bikes are the best way to teach your child to learn to ride a bike. It looks like a normal bike minus the pedals because it’s made for your toddler to walk along with. My little guy actually received this particular balance bike as a gift from his aunt and uncle. He LOVES it and it’s honestly one of the most used toys in our house.
Don’t forget a helmet though because they then begin scooting and eventually are ready to ride.
Counting Ladybugs
Catching ladybugs is a fun and educational game you can play inside or outside. Our little ones loved taking it in the backyard and hiding the ladybugs. Each bug has a number on the back to help the kids learn their numbers.
Kids Foam Bowling Set
Bring the excitement of the bowling alley home for your toddler with the Foam Bowling Set! No slippery lanes or community shoes here- this colorful foam set is safe and portable and great for developing their hand eye coordination
This set includes ten 7” tall bowling pins and two 3” bowling balls to make taking turns easier! This bowling set will help teach numbers while building coordination and motor skills. Comes with a zippered carry bag, making this bowling set a great addition for parties or playdates.
