Take baby to the beach or, more realistically, a sandbox, and take off her socks to let her dig her feet and squish around in the sand for the first time.
I’m proud (is that really the right word?) to report that as of 8 months, Holden has now figured out how to get the sand in his mouth without it all running out between his fingers.
Take pictures. Of course 🙂
Keep in mind that going to the real beach for any longer than the ten minutes it takes you to get the baby’s toes digging and the mama’s camera snapping will require some real planning. Remembering a towel, dry clothes, sun protection can take all your brain power.
