If you’re nursing ”“ it might be natural, but it’s not easy for most of us. Get thee to a support group. There might be one at your hospital, or look for meetings hosted by La Leche League. (They also give free advice by phone.)
This is an important task, worthy of being your first solo outing with the baby. If you want to keep it up, you need a village of support, and there is one out there. If you feel overwhelmed, just drive carefully ”“ you can cry when you get there. It’s expected! You’ll find it inspiring to see other nursing moms with their older babies.
