Parenting trend: squeezable pouch food

I buy Apple/Carrot Crushers from Trader Joe’s on a regular basis. The format is like the other products you see above, and my kids love it.

When I went to the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco with my mom last month, I saw a bunch more squeezable items and thought the new baby food packaging was pretty cool. I never felt great about throwing a glass jar of baby food into my diaper bag — a pouch seems safer for transport.

Note that a couple of the items above have really big caps. That’s because the manufacturers are meeting the guidelines for safety re: choking.
